Nine amazing groups from different parts of the archipelago competed during the first ever contemporary a capella competition last Wednesday, October 30 held at the Meralco Theater. Among the 9, the group from Bulacan emerged as champions - AcapellaGO.
Baihana and the Ryan Cayabyab Singers did an a capella number of well-known hits. And an impromptu a capella number / ice breaker was provided by the trio group
All of them did great but a few made a mark for me as a listener and music enthusiast. Among which were Pinopela and AcapellaGO. I simply based it how their performance and vocal balance. AcapellaGO performed simple with a few OPM hits with a comic twist; arrangement-wise, well blended. Pinopela's performance made me thought of Glee. Some group overdone the arrangement.
