MYMP's Back with Their 10th Anniversary Album "Electrified"

MYMP, one of the country’s most successful acoustic band, continues to re-invent their sound and style even ten years after they burst onto the scene. The self-produced album features two brand new tracks as well as eight acoustic renditions reminiscent to your favorite pop singles in “Electrified” released under Galaxy Records distributed by PolyEast Records.

The album boasts its first single titled “Electrified” with new member Jana Laraza on vocals and comes with a music video that is quite different from their previous performance video.

Adding up to the six albums ever since MYMP was born in 1996, the seventh CD Electrified includes revivals from the 80s and 90s and emphasizes the band’s truest strengths; their outstanding songwriting and superb harmonies in two original cuts titled “How Much I Love You” and carrier single “Electrified.”

MYMP consists of Chin Alcantara on guitars and vocals, Jana Laraza on vocals, Ibey Haber on bass, Hannche Bobis on keyboards and Joel Tolentino on drums.

Let Christian Bautista Be Your ‘Ace of Hearts’ this Valentine’s Day

Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista, with his soothing voice and memorable ballads, will serenade those who will watch his Heart’s Day show “Ace of Hearts,” February 14, 8 p.m., at the Ace Hotel, Kapitolyo, Pasig. The show will be his first V Day show in the country in recent years.

The show’s repertoire will include some of the most romantic OPM and international tunes, plus some of Christian’s biggest hits like The Way You Look At Me, Everything You Do, among others.

The Romantic Balladeer will also be joined by two revered theater actresses Sheila Valderrama, who recently bagged the Best New Female Recording Artist from the Awit Awards, and Cris Villonco, Christian’s leading lady in the upcoming musical “Ghost.”

The concert will also be the first time that Christian and Cris will perform a song from the musical, slated to premiere mid of 2014.

“It will be a romantic show,” assures Christian. “I hope you will come and join me in this romantic musical journey.”

Heard the People Sing!

Few days before up to its actual show date, I already said to myself this too shall pass. It's not the first that I ever missed a good show. Not until yesterday, I was surprisingly asked by a friend (via Facebook) if I'm free to come along and watch DO YOU HEAR THE PEOPLE SING?.. At the back of my mind, I was like "oh gosh!" Of course I would love to see the show.. I literally flew from the north side of the metro to Resorts World Manila. I made right after the orchestra played the overture.

It was like watching the two great musicals ever created in one show! The feeling was indescribable.. Goosebumps all throughout. Production was amazing!
