Missed the first one? Not to worry coz the Concert King, Martin Nievera will be back on stage for another round of his recently successful anniversary concert, 3D - Tatlong Dekada on November 22, 2013; still at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
During an informal interview with the Concert King, we got to know him more as person not just as a performer. Just like any other artists, fans always tend to place their idols in pedestals; looking up to them with high standards; forgetting that such artists are also humans.. Martin Nievera is indeed a king on stage but when he's not in the limelight, he's like any other person. One thing that surprised me was he is a home buddy type of person. And he's wanting to have his own burger chain that he plans to call BIG MOUTH BURGERS; which I need to commend that the burgers he prepared for the guests were delicious.
Going back to the concert.. I asked Martin Nievera were there any rituals that he do before any performance. And he answered, "I take a nice, soothing hot shower. And the thing that I practice to do is not to talk before a performance.."
At his recently held 3D (Tatlong Dekada) concert last Sept. 13, Martin showed his audience why his artistry endures. As well as the Martin trademark of intelligent, decent and always humorous ways he entertains his audience.
One act I'm looking forward to see on #3D2 concert is the mash up between Martin Nievera and Anne Curtis. I got the chance to see Anne sing live during the concert of Martin with the Side A band; and my apologies, her voice was not that impressive yet. Until such time that the mash up video was shared online, Anne Curtis did well on that.
