After the phenomenal success of its first run, Rak of Aegis has returned for another series of shows.
This June, PETA opens the re-run of Rak of Aegis from June 20 to August 31. The musical is now scheduled to have 67 shows at The PETA Theater Center with a total of 30,000 audience members expected to flock the theater to see this monumental music extravaganza.

With its successful comedic approach to social issues and its catchy musical arrangements, Rak of Aegis has succeeded in bringing thousands of Filipinos to the theater.
The musical is a playlist of chart-topping Aegis songs such as “Luha,” “Halik,” “Sundot,” “Christmas Bonus,” and “Basang-basa sa Ulan” performed by a mix of talented theater artists led by Isay Alvarez-Seña, Robert Seña, Aicelle Santos, and Joan Bugcat. A story of love, fame and resilience, “Rak of Aegis” is set in a subdivision frequently marred with flood. The story revolves around Aileen, a young promodizer caught in the web of finding love and seeking fame to support her family. A story inspired by Filipino’s resilience, the play showcases the capacity of Filipinos to overcome the greatest peril. “Rak of Aegis” will be a box filled with musical and visual spectacles showcasing Pinoy’s innate love for music. The musical is created by the same women behind PETA’s hit comedy musical “Care Divas,” PETA Artistic Director Maribel Legarda and Palanca Award-winning writer Liza Magtoto, with arrangement and direction by actor-musician Myke Salomon. “Rak of Aegis” features set design by Mio Infante, choreography by Gio Gahol, lighting by Jonjon Villareal, costume design by Carlo Pagunaling, shoe design by Maco Custodio and accessory design by Joan Pamintuan.
